Stage6 BigRacing cylinder for 50cc supermoto / Enduro
The Stage6 Big Racing cylinder is a racing cylinder developed specifically for geared mopeds and supermoto models. This modern tuning cylinder delivers a strong increase in power, especially when combined with the matching Stage6 R/T 80 - 90cc racing exhaust included in the pack.
Although the BigRacing looks fairly discreet from the outside, it is a true big bore cylinder. It is not simply a bored-out stock cylinder, but a purpose-built big bore kit with optimized transfer ports and a large exhaust port designed to support the higher output. Externally, it follows the look of the original cylinder and even features a stamped 49cc marking; however, it is clearly a 77cc cylinder.
Installation is straightforward and does not require any machining of the engine case. The squish clearance is pre-set to an optimized value for the respective engine type.
On our P4 dyno, the BigRacing delivered 23 hp and 13 Nm using a standard setup (24mm carburetor, original ignition, racing exhaust, etc.).
The cylinder features relatively moderate port timings (190° - 125°), a generous cooling volume, and a high-quality Vertex piston. These characteristics contribute to reliable and robust operation, provided the setup and tuning are correctly adjusted.
Note: The use of longer cylinder head nuts is recommended to ensure proper tightening of the head. A reinforced crankshaft with standard stroke should be used.
Stage6 R/T racing exhaust
The cylinder is paired with the Stage6 R/T 80 - 90cc Minarelli AM6 exhaust, a high-end exhaust designed specifically for tuned Minarelli AM6 engines.
This is a classic racing exhaust made from carefully hand-welded steel sections and fitted with a high-quality silencer, shown here in black (other colors available). As typical for high-end systems, the exhaust is supplied in racing finish, meaning unpainted and untreated.
The exhaust is designed to deliver strong performance across the entire RPM range and is optimized for high-performance cylinders between 80cc and 90cc. For ambitious 2-stroke setups, it provides a suitable match to fully utilize the cylinder’s potential.

Stage6 BigRacing cylinder
The Big Racing cylinders are extremely powerful cylinders for 50cc supermotos. Although they are very powerful high-end cylinders, they offer a good balance of performance and reliability for intensive, regular, even daily use.
The aluminium cylinders have a displacement of 77 to 88 cc (with the corresponding crankshaft ) and were mainly developed for 50cc motorcycles with Derbi and AM6 engine, e.g. Rieju MRT, Beta RR or Sherco.
In combination with a suitable exhaust, a complete intake system and a suitable gearbox, the BigRacing can achieve maximum power with maximum torque and increased top speed.
The Stage6 R/T series delivers even more power, with uncompromising performance for use on the race track.

Tuning Level: High End racing
We categorize our products into different performance levels Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.
High End Racing products are exclusively designed for racing and should only be handled by tuning pros with the appropriate technical know-how. High-end racing parts often require modifications or machining of certain elements to accommodate the often larger components (larger crank webs, larger intake, etc.). Whether you stick with 50cc or increase the displacement, high-end racing parts offer much higher performance than the original parts and are the most powerful tuning parts.
Note: To ensure the reliability of the engine, it is important that the parts are compatible and that you do regular maintenance on your two-wheeler.
Aluminium cylinders
Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.
How to run in an aluminium cylinder?
Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.
Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.
