Engine and Chassis Parts for Derbi
50cc motorbikes from Derbi
Derbi offered 50cc gearbikes such as the Derbi Senda, DRD, and GPR for many years. Two engine variants were used across these models: EBE/EBS engines (Euro 2) up to 2005, and the D50B0 engine (Euro 3 and Euro 4) from 2006 onward. There were versions with and without a counterbalance shaft. Due to their high reliability, these engines remained rider favorites for a long time. The selection of parts for maintenance and tuning is correspondingly large:
- OEM and OEM-quality replacement engine parts: pistons, gasket sets, spark plugs, gearbox oil, various bearings...
- Sport and racing engine parts: 50cc, 70cc, or 80cc cylinder kits, reinforced crankshafts, carburetors (Dellorto, PWK...), inner rotor ignitions, racing exhaust...
- Derestriction parts: complete kits with CDI, exhaust header, main jet, and sprocket...
- Fairings in OEM style or as custom variants, MX handlebars or standard handlebars, brake pads, tires...
Derbi Scooters
Scooters from the Spanish manufacturer are less known than its 50cc motorcycles, yet Derbi brought several successful scooter models to market. Many initially used Morini engines, followed later by Piaggio engines. This provides reliable mechanics and a wide selection of replacement parts.
An overview of all models along with their respective engine types can be found further down this page.
Classic Derbi Mopeds and Maxi Scooters
Standard replacement parts are also available for popular mopeds like the Variant Sport and Variant Start. These are complemented by parts for the brand's maxi scooters, which are likewise predominantly equipped with Piaggio engines. Complete restoration or routine maintenance: matching engine and chassis components are available right here.
Established brands such as Motoforce, Stage6, Malossi, KRM, Top Performances, Airsal, 2Fast, and many others supply top-quality components.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does a Well-Maintained Derbi Engine Last?
With careful maintenance and proactive replacement of worn components before failure, the engine can run almost indefinitely. Regular oil changes using high-grade oil along with replacing pistons, bearings, and the crankshaft according to manufacturer specifications help ensure exceptional engine longevity.
What Are the Differences Between the Various Derbi Senda Versions?
The Senda is available as an enduro designated “R” and as a supermoto designated “SM”. The primary difference lies in wheel size: the enduro runs a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel, while the supermoto uses 17-inch wheels front and rear. In addition, the front fender on the SM version is shorter.
Select premium editions featured an upside-down fork instead of a conventional telescopic fork.
Senda DRD Pro models came equipped with an aluminum frame and a Marzocchi fork.
Engine differences involve the coolant hose connections: the Euro 2 engine has one coolant hose connected to the lower cylinder and another to the cylinder head. The Euro 3 engine features only a single coolant hose connection on the cylinder head, with none on the cylinder.
