Stage6 has dedicated itself to the development of high-performance tuning parts and is constantly taking on new challenges, which is why they are now also producing cylinders for 50cc supermotos. For Minarelli AM6: Stage6 Big Racing 77cc cylinder kit.

Design Big Racing cylinder for 50cc motorcycles

The cylinder was developed in close cooperation with the professionals from MXS Racing. On the one hand, it was possible to benefit from their experience in the field of manual transmission mopeds and, on the other hand, to use their own technical know-how, which enabled the Stage6 engineers to develop a thoroughly successful and innovative tuning cylinder.

Visually, the BigRacing keeps a low profile, but appearances can be deceiving. This is a true big bore aluminum cylinder – not just a bored-out standard version. It was designed from the ground up as a genuine big bore kit, featuring matched transfer ports and a large exhaust port that effectively supports the increased performance.

Advantages of Stage6 BigRacing cylinder

  • Simple installation: Installation is particularly straightforward as no milling work is required on the engine block. Squish clearance is optimized for the respective engine type.
  • High performance: 23 hp and 13 Nm were measured on the P4 test bench with a standard setup (24 mm carburetor, original ignition, racing exhaust).
  • Robust and reliable: The cylinder's port timings (190° - 125°), the large cooling volume and the high-quality Vertex piston ensure high reliability - provided that the setup and settings are right.

Use Stage6 BigRacing cylinder

Displacement is 77cc (50mm piston), i.e. not street legal. You should use a reinforced crankshaft with standard stroke.

From the outside, the cylinder is a replica of the original cylinder with a stamped 49cc mark; but don't worry, it is clearly a 77cc cylinder.

Note: we recommend using "long" cylinder head nuts to be able to tighten the head properly.

    Stage6 BigRacing cylinder

    The Big Racing cylinders are extremely powerful cylinders for 50cc supermotos. Although they are very powerful high-end cylinders, they offer a good balance of performance and reliability for intensive, regular, even daily use.

    The aluminium cylinders have a displacement of 77 to 88 cc (with the corresponding crankshaft ) and were mainly developed for 50cc motorcycles with Derbi and AM6 engine, e.g. Rieju MRT, Beta RR or Sherco.

    In combination with a suitable exhaust, a complete intake system and a suitable gearbox, the BigRacing can achieve maximum power with maximum torque and increased top speed.

    The Stage6 R/T series delivers even more power, with uncompromising performance for use on the race track.

    How to Install a cylinder on a scooter, motorcycle or moped

    The cylinder or cylinder kit is the heart of the engine on scooters, motorcycles and mopeds. It consists of a cylinder, a piston with piston ring(s), a cylinder head and gaskets needed for installation.

    The service life of a cylinder depends on whether it has been fitted correctly.

    Tuning Level: High End racing

    We categorize our products into different performance levels  Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.

    High End Racing products are exclusively designed for racing and should only be handled by tuning pros with the appropriate technical know-how. High-end racing parts often require modifications or machining of certain elements to accommodate the often larger components (larger crank webs, larger intake, etc.). Whether you stick with 50cc or increase the displacement, high-end racing parts offer much higher performance than the original parts and are the most powerful tuning parts.

    Note: To ensure the reliability of the engine, it is important that the parts are compatible and that you do regular maintenance on your two-wheeler.

      Aluminium cylinders

      Aluminium cylinders are more powerful than cast iron cylinders, but require more regular maintenance and must be combined with different components such as a reinforced crankshaft and a larger carburetor.

      How to run in an aluminium cylinder?

      Aluminium cylinders should be run in for about 200 kilometers , and you should use a fully synthetic engine oil.

      Note: To ensure optimum performance and reliability, it is advisable to measure the squish clearance. Just have a look at our tutorial How to adjust squish clearance.

      Franchement j'avais plus de 50 depuis 8ans jai eu un 80 hebo manston replica un 80 polini evo un 70 hebo revolution en gros kit avec un 24 pwk rt un yasuni r3 et un mhr selectra et c'est mon kit qui marche le plus fort jai un 26pwk aliexpress une vforce stage 6 un dd un pot mvt srace passé de 30 a 32 et il y a vraiment beaucoup de puissance je suis en 15x53 sur un trail avec un pignon de 6 avec un dent de plus et je suis d'accord le pot et pas top mais je pousse toutes les vitesses au bout et malgré un embrayage renforcé voca kevlar j'arrive a patiné vers 9000tr tellement le kit pousse a 2 avec ma copine je mange mon pote avec un 77 airsal monosegment alu 28pwk boite a clapet malossi pot stage 6 embrayage et dd donc pas déçu pour le prix rien a dire le probleme le fintion sa pourrais etre mieux sinon le reglage il est assez capricieux surtout avec cornet ou boite a air je marche tres fort qu'en admi libre mais franchement pour le prix a acheté sans hésiter si dispo par contre ne peu etre pas le mettre si c'est votre premier gros kit moi jai souvent peur sur le freinage je pense prendre 135km/h et encore pas a fond de chez fond

      Cylindre parfais
      Sa fait 1500km que je roule avec assez fortement et rien à dire, beaucoup de couple présent, arrive à doubler un 86 top perf avec à peut près la même config. Rien à dire pour l'instant se cylindre et parfait pour un usage quelque jours dans la semaine !

      Absolutely fantastic cylinder kit! perfect quality and reliability. extreme power without anything changed in the cylinder and with some tuning it gives even more power! i did 136km/h with this cylinder (ported) and 28mm carb, italkit vforce, Tecnigas Xtreme reverse (modified) and original ignition with 1.7mm pre ignition. i think 120-125 km/h is easy for this cylinder without any tuning! i strongly recommend this kit!

      Ce cylindre 77 stage 6 est très beau et est bien penser avec l'inscription 49 cc dessus mais je les achète et que des problème le piston qui tapé dans la cullase obliger de la passer au tour pour enlever de la matière et serrage au boue de 6 km donc niveau qualité je suis très déçu de ce cylindre
