Primary Gearbox Malossi 16/40 Minarelli
An extended gear ratio directs the engine’s power exactly where it’s needed, provided the engine can deliver the extra performance. This means it’s highly beneficial for heavily tuned engines but not suitable for stock setups.
Malossi primary gearbox, 16/40 for Minarelli engines (Yamaha Aerox etc.).
Note: The middle gear set must be pressed out and reinstalled to use this gear ratio.
Scooter gearbox
The transmission of scooters and some mopeds is located in a case behind the clutch and torque driver and has the function of reducing rpm and ultimately driving the wheel axle.
The transmission of a scooter has a direct influence on top speed. If the engine develops enough power and torque at low rpm, you can choose a longer gear ratio to achieve a higher top speed without any noticeable loss in acceleration.
Please note: if you don't have a press, better choose pre-assembled gears!
