Description
Racing Crankshaft Malossi MHR RHQ Yamaha Aerox
High-end long-stroke crankshaft for horizontal Minarelli engines. Very high-quality crankshaft from Malossi, designed for very powerful tuning and racing setups.
Features Malossi RHQ Long-Stroke Crankshaft
RHQ stands for Racing High Quality and represents Malossi’s top-level model. Almost every aspect of this crankshaft is high-end: robust full-circle design, ultra-precise balancing, copper-plated connecting rod, premium surface finish, high-quality workmanship, and first-rate material quality.
Due to the higher pre-compression, cylinder filling is improved, and the powerband shifts into the higher rpm range. The crankshaft is suitable for engine speeds up to 16,000 rpm.
This is a long-stroke crankshaft with a 90 mm connecting rod and 44 mm stroke (instead of 80 mm / 39 mm), and must therefore be used together with a matching Big Bore cylinder. As a reminder: using a long-stroke crankshaft increases displacement and also helps to restore the bore-to-stroke ratio when a larger bore has shifted it out of balance.
Installation Malossi MHR Racing Crankshaft
44 mm stroke, 90 mm rod, 13 mm piston pin – this is clearly not a plug & play crankshaft.
The crankshaft is intended for use with Malossi Big Bore cylinders 86cc or 94cc. Installation requires a 5 mm cylinder base spacer.
The crankshaft should be used with a suitable Multivar CVT (M5112800, M5118678 or M5115823). Important: for the Malossi MHR Multivar M5118678, you must use the included ramp plate plus sliding sleeve and spacer bush.
And as with many tuning crankshafts: machining the engine case is absolutely required for this crankshaft.

How to change a crankshaft?
The crankshaft is one of the main components of the engine and is responsible for the smooth operation of motorcycle, scooter and moped, whether with two-stroke or four-stroke engine. The longevity of the engine depends not only on the proper condition of the crankshaft, but also on the fact that it is properly mounted.
For a correct installation of the crankshaft, we recommend our tutorial: Crankshaft disassembly and assembly.
How can I tell if my crankshaft is Damaged?
A broken crankshaft causes metallic noises, unusual vibrations, leaking oil seals and drastically reduces the performance of the two-wheeler. In any case, the vehicle must be stopped immediately to prevent the damage from getting worse.
Please note that whenever the crankshaft is changed and serviced, you'll have to install new crankshaft bearings.

Tuning Level: High End racing
We categorize our products into different performance levels Original, Sport, Racing and High End , so that our customers can choose the right parts for their setup. It is really important to combine parts that belong to the same tuning level, this is especially true for cylinders, crankshafts and exhausts.
High End Racing products are exclusively designed for racing and should only be handled by tuning pros with the appropriate technical know-how. High-end racing parts often require modifications or machining of certain elements to accommodate the often larger components (larger crank webs, larger intake, etc.). Whether you stick with 50cc or increase the displacement, high-end racing parts offer much higher performance than the original parts and are the most powerful tuning parts.
Note: To ensure the reliability of the engine, it is important that the parts are compatible and that you do regular maintenance on your two-wheeler.
