Designed for those who live tuning at the highest level, the Polini For Race digital ignition combines technological innovation and pure performance to take your bike or scooter to the next level. It is a complete ignition system suitable for 50cc 2T Derbi / Minarelli AM6 bikes (Yamaha DT50 / Beta RR 50 /Rieju MRT / Derbi Senda, etc). The digital ignition includes Ø75 mm stator and rotor, manufactured with high quality components and designed for minimum inertia. the result? Immediate engine response and aggressive acceleration.

Polini includes two preconfigured maps for you to choose the curve that best suits your preparation:
- Map 1: perfect for engines with Original or For Race preparation (intermediate level).

Attention: This ignition is intended for racing use only. Although it allows the use of lights, the light intensity is not as high as on an original system, which should be taken into account in case of urban or road use.
Polini For Race
The For Race series from Polini includes exhausts as well as crankshafts and clutches for scooters, 50cc supermotos and Vespas. Although the name sounds like ultra-high-quality and high-performance racing parts, this is not quite true.
The exhausts are not road-legal and are theoretically only intended for use on the race track, but due to their performance, which focuses mainly in the lower and medium RPM range, they are more suitable for sports / entry level tuning setups, which are appreciated for their balanced ratio of performance and reliability for everyday use.
The crankshafts are also suitable for sports cylinders, as are the few For Race clutches.
Polini fans looking for maximum power for the racetrack should therefore opt for the Evolution or even the P.R.E. series.
Inner Rotor Ignition
An internal rotor ignition is a racing ignition designed to increase performance. Inner rotor ignitions are designed for motorsports and competition, in rare cases they also provide power for vehicle lighting. (e.g. the MVT ignition).
Advantages of an internal rotor ignition
Inner rotor ignitions are the ultimate choice for the race track, they are however not really suitable for street use.
The compact and lightweight internal rotor puts less weight on the crankshaft and allows for quick revving, very high engine speeds and an enormous power increase at high rpm.
Another advantage is that this type of ignition is less susceptible to moisture than standard ignitions.
Tip: You may want to consider a tuning ignition cover with additional holes / cutouts to improve ventilation.
Disadvantages of an internal rotor ignition
RPMs increase faster due to the lower mass, this will affect torque at low RPMs, though. Therefore, internal rotor ignitions are only worthwhile for racing, because on the racetrack you'll constantly stay at high engine speeds.
