Description

The digital speed limiter module with radio remote control and automatic activation is designed for 2-stroke mopeds/scooters. It records current speed and engine speed via an integrated microprocessor.

Speed setting

Speed is read via the supplied sensor (with magnet) on the wheel, while engine speed is measured on the "+" lead of the CDI. The advantage of this digital speed limiter is the ability to adjust the setting with a calculation accuracy of 99.9%.

Operating modes

1. KMH mode:
   • A speed limit is stored in the module. If this limit is reached, the device slows down the scooter by gradually reducing speed.
2. Engine speed mode:
   • The module stops the scooter when the maximum engine speed is reached. It does not intervene below this limit, thus avoiding any loss of power.
3. Combined mode:
   • The module operates simultaneously with the set engine speed and the KMH limit. This allows speed and rpm to be controlled at the same time.

Compatibility

The module works with almost all 2T carburettor machines, such as frequent Minarelli replicas (1E40QMB) like CPI and Keeway. However, it is not compatible with 4-stroke machines, direct injection machines, Morini engines and machines with double pick-up stator (e.g. Aprilia SR50 with brown and white cables on the CDI).

Installation and dimensions

The speed limiter module is particularly small (45x45x18mm) and fits almost anywhere. The connection cable is 45 to 50 cm long, the wheel sensor is 28x19 mm, and the associated cable is 50 cm long.
