Voca Electric Water Pump
12 V electric water pump from Voca Racing.
Advantages of an electric water pump
In racing, the mechanical water pump is often replaced with an electric one to reduce the load on the crankshaft.
Throttle response improves and power increases slightly. The entire unit is highly resistant to moisture, acids, hydrocarbons (fuel), and high temperatures. The pump features a brushless motor that minimizes wear, noise, and heat generation. The flow rate is 25 liters per minute, making it suitable for cooling highly tuned engines as well.

The water pump is a crucial component of a liquid-cooled engine. It ensures that the coolant circulates between the engine and radiator to prevent engine damage from overheating.
For scooters, motorcycles and mopeds, there are repair kits for the original water pump, but also water pumps with increased flow (for tuned engines or for intensive racing use) and electric water pumps.
Electric water pumps are especially popular with tuners, as they eliminate a mechanically driven element and thus relieve the engine of an additional load, resulting in a slight increase in performance.
