FMF, ligne d'échappement US

naissance et évolution :

En 1973, Donnie Emler créé sa société dans son garage à Hawthorn en Californie. Son nom: Flying Machine Factory, connue aujourd'hui comme FMF Racing. Son but est d'améliorer les performances des motos de cross en fabricant des pots d'échappements spécifiques. Très doué et très impliqué dans le motocross, il se fait rapidement connaitre et attire l'attention de gros calibres, tels que Marty Smith, premier champion des Etats-Unis en AMA Motocross 125cc. Cela permettra à la marque d'attirer tous les regards sur elle pour grandir.
Au fil des années, la marque aux 3 lettres deviendra l'un des plus grands noms de l'industrie de l'échappement en tout terrain. Toujours en phase avec l'évolution des machines (Don Emler aura su gérer l'arrivée du pot "Low Boy", du refroidissement liquide, des valves à l'échappements, du cadre aluminium et enfin du moteur 4 temps et l'injection électronique) elle empoche au passage de nombreux titres en Motocross, Supercross, GNCC, Enduro ou encore Flat Track et Quad. Les locaux se trouvent aujourd'hui toujours en Californie aux Etats-Unis, où sont développés et produits les fameux pots d'échappement.
